Portland Karting Association will continue to have Friday Night Registration and Pre-Race Technical Safety Inspections the night before a race based on the following schedule:

                        Rear Gates Open                  5:00pm – 9:30pm

                        Registration                           7:30pm – 9:00pm

                        Pre-Race Tech. Inspection    7:30pm – 9:00pm 

(Plan to enter through West gate and cross the race track at Turn 8 to avoid the Friday Night Drag Races.)

                          WHERE TO STAY           

        

 Camping is available to all kart racers at Portland International Raceway during Portland Karting Association race events. Campers must follow all PIR Rules and Regulations posted at the racetrack. There are some electrical and water hookups available to campers on a first come, first serve basis.  PIR does not have sewer hookups. There are flush toilets, but showers are not available.

Portland Karting Association has an agreement with the DAYS INN and SHILO INNS hotels for Special Discount Room Rates for Road Racers for the 2008 Grand Nationals as well as the  regular Race season.

 Please mention that you are racing with Portland Karting Association to receive the special discount at the DAYS INN and use the code PDXKART for the SHILO INNS
