After completing my first solo race weekend I would appreciate your comments on how you think I did. I realized VERY quickly Saturday morning that EMT and I had to come to an agreement as having them enter the track anytime someone spun out was FAR to dangerous. Keep in mind these guys have no go kart experience and a track fatality in the last 2 months. Definitely gun shy. I thought by the third session we had things running smoothly.
Day 2: I only found out midday Saturday that the track did not plan on supplying corner workers for Sunday. Keep in mind I did not sign the contract for this track and didn't actually get to see it until Sunday. My bad. This will not happen again. This is why practice started late on Sunday. Since nobody went out for the last session, I am thinking and hoping you all got enough time.

Ok. That said. 5 possibilities for next year. Spokane again. Laguna Seca in March. Thunderhill Main or West. ORP if PKA doesn't do it. Last option really isn't much of an option. A: I hope PKA does it. B: I can't afford it. I think Laguna is a bad idea. Too far away.
Please let me know what you want. Keep in mind we may have up to 6 or 7 events next year if we get Rose Cup

My preference is that the race is located in the Region 6 area and not go to CA. I really enjoyed Spokane and would go again next year.

PKA has a date for ORP penciled in for May 12th, but is not yet set in stone.

You worked your butt off Keith along with quite a few others and it's appreciated! Sounds like we've learned what "they" at the track don't know about karting and what to expect/request with future events there.

Think NCK has March 24-25, 2018 on the calendar already for Laguna Seca. 6 or 7 events? oh my... Need a 2nd job.

I am actually considering it. Need to drive up there and look at the track to see if it has gotten worse than last time. Anyone else interested in Bremerton?

No Bremerton no thank you it kills frames and spindles. Fun but hard on things.

Don't overdo your schedule, your better off smaller than being to large and having low attendance at all events. If anything pass on one saving the $ to be used to pay for dates in better drier months. Single day races will also keep attendance higher most times seeing how these tracks are within about 3 hours of each other. Also be smart and expect big numbers to go to the scheduled race at Laguna meaning do not put a local event very close to that event or your going to kill yourself wishing you didn't.

I would say yes SIR has always been smoother than Bremerton but having not been to either for years no one knows what we are talking about here. Odds are the actual race track is in better shape as it was in the past. SIR is more fun to drive and race on but it's very hard to be sure turnout will be good. History lesson should tell us not to rent it in months where rain is possible that's all I know.

Thanks for all the input. At this point unsure what NWRR is going to do for next year. It would seem that most do not want Bremerton or Thunderhill. Still trying to get Spokane again but not having much luck. If you attended ORP then you probably already know that PSRRA is planning a Ridge race as well as SIR. PKA is planning ORP as well as SIR. Also working on PIR. Doesn't leave me much for choices

Pacific raceway has done some paving how much I don't know for sure
The track is more local for half or more of the region roadrace and I hope that helps the entries

will next years pka/psrra schedules be set at the Gold Cup Conference?
